The photograph captures a haunting scene of an abandoned oil refinery near my childhood home in Switzerland. The intricate network of pipes and machinery, like the veins and arteries of a forgotten industrial giant, weaves a complex web of metallic coils and rusting pipes in the shape of a cross.
The once-thriving refinery now lies motionless, its walls cracked and its metal structures rusted to a deep orange-brown hue. Neglected and forgotten, the machinery and pipes that once hummed with activity now stand as eerie relics of a bygone era. I invite the viewer to contemplate the passage of time and the inevitable decline of human enterprise. The abandoned refinery serves as both a reminder of our past glories and a warning of our future challenges as we grapple with the consequences of our actions on the environment.

Contiguous US - We offer free standard shipping on unframed artwork and books for contiguous orders.
Shipping International - We ship internationally. Rates depend on location and size of art.
Expedited Shipping - Expedited shipping is not available, but most orders will be delivered within 10-15 days. .
**We urge our customers to ship to a business location if possible, as packages do not require a signature and cannot be left with a doorman at the time of delivery. Drew Doggett Photography will not be held responsible for the safety of your artwork once a delivery has been made.
